  3. Turn it off when you’re doneSelect Turn the link off. The link stops working straight away. Sharing the same report again makes a new link.
QuestionAnswer
Does the reader need an account? No.
What can they see? That one report: the summary, the findings and the sites linked to. Nothing else on your account.
Can search engines find it?No. The page asks them not to index it, and the link is a long random string that can’t be guessed.
Can they change anything? No. It is read-only.

When a shared report helps

Most link problems are fixed by someone other than the person who ran the scan: a developer, a content editor, an agency or a client’s own team. A shared report lets you hand them exactly what you are looking at, in the same order, without creating accounts or exporting files.

  • An agency sending findings to a client. The client sees the paragraph at the top, the priorities and each flagged link, and can forward it to whoever edits the site.
  • A site owner briefing a developer. The report lists the page each link is on, where it leads and why it was flagged, so there is little to explain.
  • A second opinion. Send it to a colleague or an adviser who wants to look at the evidence before you act.

What the reader sees

The page is the finished report: the summary paragraph, the cards for each priority, the findings table and the sites that were linked to. It follows the priority order saved on your account, so the person reading it sees the most urgent thing first, the way you do.

It is one scan. If you run another scan later, the shared link keeps showing the report it was created for until you create a link for the newer one. That also means you can carry on working while someone reads it.

  • Each report has its own link. Sharing one scan never exposes your other scans, your sites list or your account.
  • Turning a link off stops it working at once, for everyone holding it.
  • Sharing the same report again after turning it off creates a new link. The old one does not come back.
  • The link is a long random string, so it can’t be guessed from the address of your site or your report.

Questions

Does the person I send it to need to sign up?
