FAQ

How do I export a report?

Choose CSV at the top right of a report’s table to download its saved findings as a spreadsheet file. Clean links are counted but not listed.

Open a report from History and choose CSV at the top right of the table. The file holds the findings saved for that scan or monitoring check, one row each, and opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Clean links are counted but not listed, because the report keeps the findings that need attention.

What is in the file

Each row is a link, with the columns below. The file name is link-signals- followed by the first eight characters of the scan’s ID, so exports from different scans do not overwrite each other.

ColumnWhat it holds
url, verdict, http_statusThe destination, the verdict and the status code, when it answered.
categories, confidence, triggers, reasonWhat it matched, how that was reached (blocklist, ai or keyword) and the explanation shown in the report.
context, hidden, concealed, relWhether the link fits the page, how it is hidden, and whether it is followed or marked.
domain_signal, registeredA problem with the destination’s domain, and its registration date when the registry gave one.
anchor, found_on, source_title, title, descriptionThe link text, the page it was first found on, and the titles taken from both ends.
  • It is clean. Links with no finding are counted in the report but not stored.
  • It is not an external link, or it points to a file type that is skipped.
  • Its page was not read. A sitemap larger than your plan reads is scanned as a sample.
  • It is counted in another row. Each link appears once, against the first page it was found on.
  • The report is full. A saved report keeps up to 500 flagged findings.

Things to know before you share the file

  • The whole saved list is exported. A filter or tab changes what you see on screen, not the file. To export only some rows, filter the same way in the spreadsheet.
  • Reviewed marks and ignores are not in the file. Re-check the fixed links first, then export, so the file shows what is still flagged.
  • Text comes from other people’s sites. Link text and titles can be written by spammers. A cell that begins with =, +, - or @ is given a leading apostrophe so a spreadsheet reads it as plain text.

Questions

Can I open the file in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. It is a standard comma-separated file with every value quoted, so commas and line breaks inside a reason or a title stay within their cell.

Why is there an apostrophe at the start of a cell?

It is added on purpose. Text from scanned pages can begin with a character that spreadsheets treat as a formula, and the apostrophe keeps it as plain text. It is not part of the original text.

How do I show which links still pass credit?

Filter the rel column to followed. A link marked nofollow, sponsored or ugc shows that marker instead, as explained in which rel a link should have.
